Planet X or Planet Nine is a hypothetical planet in the outer reaches of our Solar System. It is believed to be a Neptune sized planet beyond Pluto. Its gravitational effects could explain the unusual clustering of orbits for a group of extreme trans-Neptunian objects (ETNOs). These are bodies beyond Neptune that orbit the Sun at distances averaging more than 250 times that of the Earth. Basically, the unusually closely spaced orbits of six of the most distant objects located in the Kuiper Belt indicate the existence of a ninth planet whose gravity affects these movements.
