What would a solar total eclipse look from the perspective of someone standing on the surface of the Moon? During such an eclipse, the observer would see the Earth block out the sun. The Moon’s surface would then turn an eerie red color due to sunlight being scattered and bent through Earth’s atmosphere before reaching the lunar surface.
Please note: This video is a repost due to confusion some people had about whether this would be considered a solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse. This update includes some text from Wikipedia to better explain this concept.
