The discovery of artificial light in the Centauri alien star system has been a more than a decade-long process, requiring observations with the Hubble Space Telescope and Keck Observatory. Proxima Centauri is only 4 light years away, in late 2020, astronomers noticed a signal coming from the direction of Proxima Centauri. These mysterious anomalies have been unsettling the space community’s sharpest minds, but what are they? Does this suggest that there is intelligent life on the planet?The signal named BLC- 1 by the scientists is still being analyzed to verify that it isn’t simply an echo of our own civilization, which is usually what they are.
