1940 saw the first appearance of Ebertin’s classic book, The Combination of Stellar Influences. He was much influenced by Alfred Witte, the German founder of the Hamburg School of astrology which aims to approach the study as a science. Witte’s works were burned by the Nazis and he was put on their list of banned authors. Ebertin waited until the end of WWII to more widely publish his own masterpiece, a short selection of which is given here. His primary contributions were in the field of medical astrology.
