On 26 November 2021, the St Cross Centre for the History and Philosophy of Physics (HAPP) held a discussion panel on “Searching for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Across a Century”.
The discussion panel comprised Professor Lord Martin Rees (UK Astronomer Royal), Dr Jill Tarter (Co-founder and Emeritus Director, SETI Institute), Dr Andrew Siemion (Director of Breakthrough Listen, University of Berkeley) and Professor Tong-Jie Zhang (Beijing Normal University) with the panel moderator being Professor Sara Seager from MIT
