South Africa is being threatened by invasive alien species.
The South African National Biodiversity Institute and the Centre for Invasion Biology at Stellenbosch University has found that only OR Tambo International Airport has a permanent biosafety presence.
Environmental affairs department inspectors only operate on weekdays during office hours.
