Witness description:
“Filmed from East Belfast at around 6.15pm. Light was intensely bright at first before disappearing. Footage shown was recorded when the light returned and it moved extremely slowly back towards the spot where it initially disappeared. Another local witness observed it for around 2 hours.
Extremely slow moving but the light had been viewed from the city airport for nearly 2 hours and the air traffic control couldn’t pick it up, as someone working there mentioned. It initially appeared on the top right area of the sky. By the time I got my phone and recorded the object, it had moved to the lower left then back up again before disappearing.
I don’t think it’s a drone because it didn’t control like one, which are usually zippy and aren’t lit up like the North Star.”
